Back to work I go....

So... many of you know that I got a new teaching position this year. I have to say that it has been VERY challenging, but I have definitely grown as a professional.  The past 5 years I have taught elementary special education. This year I am teaching H.S. special ed. It is quite different from what I am used to, to say the least. This first marking period has been BRUTAL...but thankfully I'm finally getting the hang of things. I really enjoy my new job. I like the people that I work with, and I like my students. Not saying that I didn't like the people that I worked with before...but this is a new experience that I have fully embraced. When I got to my new school, I felt as if I was starting all over again. But in a good way. I LOVE the fact that I don't have to take the Beltway anymore. Morning rush hour traffic is NO JOKE. So that is definitely a nice break. I also like that I don't have to stress to get to work on time. My job is about 20 mins away... which is NOTHING compared to my old commute. I'm so grateful for my new job/position and am excited to see where God takes me from here. I definitely see this new position as another step towards the fulfillment of the "big picture" for my life. 


Even though I REALLY REALLY like my new position...it doesn't take away from the fact that I wish that there could be one more day added to the weekend...it would be nice to have a 3 day weekend every week....  ;-)
